The Moorfields Ophthalmic Prescription Dataset is a longitudinal dataset consisting of routinely collected prescription data from patients who have received and are receiving treatment at Moorfields Eye Hospital - a leading provider of eye health services in the UK and a world-class centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education.
There are a total of 4.2M prescriptions from 428,593 patients recorded as of July 2024, with over 1M new prescriptions records entered in the past year.
The clinical metadata associated with these prescription records includes details such as the medicine prescribed, the dosage, the laterality, the frequency and method of administration, among others.
