SCI Diabetes pulls data from Primary and Secondary Care Clinicians, and specialist services like Paediatrics, Podiatry, Diabetes Specialist Nursing and Dietetics. The West of Scotland Safe Haven is part of the regional Safe Haven network in
Scotland. We operate as a REC-approved research database (IRAS 321198) within
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and offer a delegated ethics route for data-only
studies, cohort builds and linkage to a variety of deep, multi-modal clinical
NHS data types - including structured, free text, and imaging - with hosting of
deidentified research-ready datasets in an ISO-accredited Secure Data
