Education Daily Attendance Dataset (EDAD)

Dataset

Documentation

Description:
This dataset provides detailed information about daily educational attendance within Wales. Attendance data in EDUW was not collected during the pandemic period (2019–2022), as it was replaced by the Education Daily Attendance Dataset (EDAD) schema. This dataset contains more detailed information on attendance than was previously available in EDUW. EDAD is the daily attendance record for each pupil. There are two rows for every day a pupil could attend (morning and afternoon). So each pupil has hundreds of records for each year which include details of whether they were present or absent (with various codes describing the reason for an absence). The EDAD records aren’t fully quality assured, just what we receive from the schools.
