Description:
# Dataset Overview ## Description The **INStitute for Prevention, healthy agIng and medicine Rejuvenative translational (INSPIRE-T)** study is a 10-year observational study. Its primary objective is to enable the study of aging trajectories across the lifespan based on the concept of Intrinsic Capacity (IC), using the World Health Organization (WHO) Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) program, coupled with additional clinical and biological phenotyping, including cognitive testing and neurodegenerative plasma biomarkers. The current cohort consists of 1,164 male and female participants recruited from the city of Toulouse (France), aged from 20 to 102 years old at baseline. However, recruitment is ongoing to maintain a minimum of 1,000 subjects in the study. The only inclusion criterion for INSPIRE-T is that the participant is affiliated with a social security scheme. Non-inclusion criteria include judicial deprivation of liberty or a life expectancy of ≤ 5 years (or ≤ 1 year for participants who are dependent in terms of activities of daily living). ## Baseline Data Availability in INSPIRE-T ### Sociodemographic Data - Age - Sex - Education - Income - Marital status - Occupation - Living arrangements - Living environment - Home-based and formal care support ### Medical Information and Clinical Examinations - Medical history - Current and incident diseases - COVID-19 - Family medical history - Medical visits (GP, specialist, dentist) - Medication - Vaccination - Hospitalizations and surgical history ### Anthropometric Data and Vital Statistics - Heart rate and blood pressure - Body mass index - Waist and hip circumference ### Other Health and Lifestyle Data - Falls and fear of falling - Self-reported pain - IBS symptoms based on the Francis" score - Itch intensity on the lower limbs - Oral Health Assessment Tool - International Physical Activity Questionnaire - Smoking and tobacco usage - Sun exposure - Sleep data, including PROMIS Fatigue ### Psychosocial and Lifestyle Characteristics - PROMIS social isolation - Dog ownership - Perceived health and age - Pastimes and hobbies ### Cognitive Domain Tests - Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) - Free and total recall of the Free and Cued Selective Reminding Test* (for subjects aged < 70 years) - Digit Symbol Substitution Test* (for subjects aged < 70 years) - Category Naming Test (2-minute category fluency in animals)* (for subjects aged < 70 years) - COWAT (letter P) (for subjects aged < 70 years) - Trail Making Test A and B (for subjects aged < 70 years) - Cognitive Function Instrument ### Mobility Domain Tests - Short Physical Performance Battery - Chair stand test (30 seconds) - PROMIS mobility ### Nutritional Domain Tests - Food frequency questionnaire (including alcohol consumption) and food intake prior to blood sampling - Mini Nutritional Assessment ### Vision, Audition, and Psychological Domain Tests - WHO simple eye chart - Amsler grid - Audiometry - Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) ### Functional Status Tests - Activities of Daily Living (ADL) - Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) - Fried frailty phenotype ### ICOPE Data - Steps 1, 2, and 3 - Step 1 self-assessment acceptability questionnaire - Feasibility questionnaire ### Visit Information - Visit information, including visit dates ### Recruitment Screening - Inclusion and exclusion criteria (non-inclusion) - Means of participant recruitment ### Alzheimer"s Disease Plasma Biomarkers (Including APOE e4 Phenotype) - Plasma p-tau217 - Neurofilament light chain (NfL) - Apolipoprotein E e4 phenotype \* Used to calculate a cognitive composite score in conjunction with the Mini-Mental State Examination Orientation items (Andrieu et al., 2017: *Lancet Neurology*, 16(5), 377–389). ## Biological Samples Biological samples collected in INSPIRE-T include: - Dental plaque - Saliva - Urine - Blood - Peripheral blood mononuclear cells - Skin samples - Hair follicles - Stools - Nasopharyngeal swabs If you are interested in accessing any of these samples, please contact us at [ihuos_inspiredataaccess@chu-toulouse.fr](mailto:ihuos_inspiredataaccess@chu-toulouse.fr) (cc: [nicola.coley@inserm.fr](mailto:nicola.coley@inserm.fr), guyonnet.s@chu-toulouse.fr). ## Data Use Agreement and Publication Policy By submitting a study proposal, researchers agree to the terms and conditions set out in the data use agreement and publication policy.
